Ten true things about me that you may not know
1) I wake up at 5:15 every morning naturally without an alarm, make tea, and write my morning pages.
2) Although most workdays I wear black, grey and dark denim, when I work out I go for the brightest and boldest colors possible.
3) The Café in the Crypt below the Church of St. Martin-in-the Fields has been my absolute favorite place to have tea in London for at least ten years now.
4) I was recently given a twelve-string guitar.
5) When I travel, what I remember most clearly is what and where I ate.
6) As I get older, spiders make me increasingly nervous for no real reason.
7) Despite their completely different aesthetics, I am equally enamored of Muji and Pylones.
8) I always need at least two pens in my bag, in case one runs out of ink while I'm out writing.
9) To block out noise at night, I use hot pink earplugs.
10) For the last seven years, I've worn a silver bracelet on my right wrist with this quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson: "What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us."
Rather than tag ten people with this, please leave a few true things about you in the comments!

i have a question, since you get up at 5:15, what time do you go to bed? are you early to bed, early to rise?
Here are a few true facts about me:
1. I adore watching chich flicks.
2. I long for conversations about life, books, balance, etc. with fabulous, like-minded women.
3. I am a passionate yoga instructor who loves fashion and hair and beauty products.
4. I dream of creating and selling a yoga dvd.
5. I am terrified of public speaking but was the graduate commencement speaker when I got my Master's Degree.
Melita - I usually go to bed between 10 and 11. My energy is much more focused in the morning and that's when I'm most productive, so I just go with it. But part of it is the knowledge that the very early morning is my own uninterrupted time to write.
Yogadiva - Thanks for sharing! I think it's fantastic that you were the commencement speaker for your Master's ceremony even though you have a fear of public speaking. Way to go!
I had to laugh when I read # 3 as I am like that too. Infact, when we went to New York, we planned our trip around food- that way we saw a lot more of New York than we otherwise would have (for example by getting lost in the streets while searching for certain restaurants etc.:))

thanks Kiki! I knew you'd have the most interesting things to share! I'm the same way with pens when i'm going to a meeting. gotta have a back up. i also remember what i ate and where. interestingly some of my most enjoyable lunches have been at museum and/or garden cafes.
Oh my goodness, I love, love, love your blog! I've seen you posting comments but never knew about this gem until reading your guest post over at darling Carolyn's!
I also wear hot pink earplugs at night, and use the same eyepillow that Kimberly has, altho it is in noir. Got it at Bath and Body Works.
Oh, and Melita doesn't know it yet, but I am definately going to make my way to her neck of the woods and be a guinea pig when she needs to practice during massage school....my sore shoulders cannot wait!
great post - i need to do one of those sometime soon :)
Lynne - thank you for such a lovely compliment! I hope this makes you a regular reader. You mentioned in your profile that you hope to be starting a blog soon. I'd love to read some of your writing!
CityGirl - Consider yourself tagged for a "Ten True Things" meme. :-)
